Buying PSP in Singapore

So, the time has come when you are looking to buy a brand new PSP set in Singapore. With so many stores selling PSP nowadays, it can get quite confusing for the first time buyer. You need not be.

In reality, there are only 2 channels where you can buy your new PSP. One is through an authorised Sony dealer in large department stores such as Courts, and the other way is through an import dealer. The important issue to note here is that, buying through an authorised Sony dealer guarantees you an authentic brand new set, a 1 year warranty by Sony, and a complete peace of mind.

Buying through an import dealer is a different story altogether. While prices may be slightly cheaper, and they do conjure up some great package deals, you are most likely to find that the warranty is honored by the shop itself, and not by Sony. The warranty can range from 3 months to 1 year. Some of these shops are very small set ups, and you are fine so long as they are still around when you need them.

As a conclusion, I would buy from an authorised Sony dealer. You may save a little from buying at smaller shops, but the risk is there.
